   <title>State and Federal Minimum Wages increased.</title>

   <description>The adult state minimum weekly wage will be increased by $17.50 to $587.20 per week from 1 July 2010.  For more information on the decision click &lt;a href="http://www.wairc.wa.gov.au/files/news/APPL-2-2010-201000337%20Reasons%20for%20Decision.pdf">here&lt;/a>.&lt;br>&lt;br>The adult federal minimum weekly wage will be increased by $26 to $569.90 per week from 1 July 2010.    <description>The &lt;i>Employment Dispute Resolution Act 2008&lt;/i> is new legislation that enables employers and employees in Western Australia to seek mediation services of the WAIRC to prevent or resolve workplace disputes.  The new Act allows the WAIRC to offer a service that is voluntary, involves minimal expense, is easy to initiate and is available to employers, unions and employees who want to use it.
