Community Development Worker

About ELCWA
The Employment Law Centre of WA is a not for profit community legal centre providing free, confidential, legal information, advice and assistance regarding employment law to workers in Western Australia, with priority being given to low paid and disadvantaged workers. We also provide legal education, training and resources to the community and undertake law reform activities.

The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and organised person to assist the organisation to build networks that enhance access to Centre services for disadvantaged communities and raise the community profile of ELCWA. The role will include development of education resources and publications, education forums, workshops and training.

If you are an excellent educator and have experience in community development we want you! Knowledge and experience in employment law is not essential as on the job training is provided.

The position is permanent part time for 22.5 hours per week and will be classified as per Level 5 Social and Community Services - West Australia Award 2002 in line with the ELCWA Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.

Salary packaging is also available.

A probationary period of 3 months will apply.

Hours of work are flexible and can be negotiated with the successful candidate. ELCWA is a family friendly employer.
